Led by experts leveraging data to support actionable conservation outcomes.
We’re a collective of wildlife scientists, ecologists, and data scientists, mostly from the Global South, who have embraced technology as a catalyst for conservation.
Our team has collectively worked in conservation for decades with local communities, academics, non-profits, government agencies and corporations. We’ve combined our diverse backgrounds with scientific rigor to develop optimized biodiversity monitoring solutions. At the heart of our mission lies an unwavering dedication to placing science and empirical evidence at the forefront of our initiatives.
The Team
Looking for ways I can be most useful to help solve the problem I care most about - biodiversity loss. I have a background in environmental science and business, and I’ve spent the last six years getting deeply entrenched in the conservation tech space, working directly with everyone from indigenous communities to the largest corporations to use tech to empower action. Avid animal rescuer and happiest when seeing the world from new perspectives.
Founders
I’m a Brazilian tropical ecologist, boasting over 20 years of experience in biodiversity monitoring and conservation. Notably, I’ve spearheaded the development of Arbimon, a world-renowned ecoacoustic monitoring platform. Collaborating with academia, governments, and nonprofits, I’ve catalyzed impactful advancements in wildlife preservation, addressing the effects of land use and climate change on biodiversity. My commitment fuels pivotal transformations at the nexus of science, technology, and conservation.
I’m a biologist with 30 years of experience working at the intersection of science, technology and conservation. I co-founded and lead Wildlife Insights, the largest camera trap platform in the world. I am passionate about data, statistical and parametric modeling, and the use of AI to solve the major conservation challenges of our time.
I am a bioinformatician with two decades of experience leading pioneering informatics initiatives. I lead the design and implementation of the BOLD and mBRAVE data platforms, along with the BIN framework. My passion lies in crafting technological solutions that drive societal progress. I specialize in developing interdisciplinary solutions, particularly in managing and harnessing big-data at the intersection of DNA and computational sciences.
